Log Cabin Day

Log Cabin Day: The last Sunday in June (to correspond with Michigan Log Cabin Day)

Since 2012, PFPP has celebrated Log Cabin Day by opening the cabin for tours of the cabin’s interior interior, which has rarely been open over the past 30 years; live music; activities for children; actors and historians in period costumes; and much more.

Our efforts continue to renovate the historic Log Cabin, built in 1885 for Senator Thomas W. Palmer and his wife Mary Merrill Palmer.  Read more and donate to restore the Cabin.
